past

Man came to Inatika for another world. There were many theories why they had came, but the one thing that was certain they could not go back to where they had came from. They had to difficult task of making a new life within a strange land ahead of them, but this was not a task they had to do alone as the original inhabitants were more than happy to aid them. Some claimed that this was a mistake as these spirits were simple peaceful beings who knew nothing of the darker emotions and desires that often motivated man. More than that they did not fully grasp how being in contact with these darker emotions would change them. Spirits were beings whom picked up the emotional energy of the world around them, and the stronger a specific emotion the more they absorbed. Many claimed that the changes that followed was unavoidable. Others believed that many directly influenced it for whatever reason.

What was known was these spirits were different, and those whom were unaffected became frightened. They did not know what these changes meant, but they couldn't shake the feeling that if they don't somehow stop the process that they would lose themselves. They just couldn't come to an argeement on how to stop it. Finally after a long debate, they decided that those whom did not wish to continued to be influenced by man would retreat into the depth of their most dense forest while those who were already changed or who did not fear the change remain behind to protect them from the influence of man. It was a task they thought would be easy given that man promised to leave these forests alone, but man were a short lived people with even shorter memories and within a few generation they forgot their promise.

The protectors did their best to keep man's influence from reaching the forests depths, but it became clear that this task was within vain as those within the deepest reaches of the forest were being changed. Once again they were faced with the overwhelming fear of being destoryed and the need to keep it from happening. Some decided that the only course of action was to push man back to the lands they had came from, but many voice their dislike for this plan. They said that pushing man back to where they came from was not enough as it would not prevent man from coming back. Some suggested eradicating man completely while others claimed their best course of action was to put themselves inside some kinda magical bubble that shielded them from the influence of man. Yet, they had no idea how to preform such a task as it went beyond any of their abilities.

While those who suggested the magical bubble worked on figuring a way of making the impossible possible those who wanted to push man back along with those whom wished to eradicate man completely went ahead with their campaign, and it came as no surprise to anyone that man decided to fight back. A great war spread across the land that destroyed many of the forests that the spirits used as their safe haven. Two things happened as a result of this chaos. The first was the magical bubbles that some of them had been trying to bring forth just appeared. They had control where and those whom had wished to be inside the bubbles found themselves trapped on the outside. Try as they might they couldn't get inside. The second thing was from the ashes of these destroyed forest a new kinda spirt called demon arose.

These demons clearly possessed powers that were considered unnatural because they worked against the natural order or make-up of the world. Both man and spirits feared these new beings and joined forced to deal with them. Some suggested that they destroy them, but others protested against this plan. They claimed that it was through destruction that these demons came to being. Those whom was pro destroy demon claimed that it would be like destroying fire with fire, but this did not convinced those against the idea. Others wished nothing to be done about the demons as they believed they were connected to the magical bubbles that have appeared in various places and destroying the demons might in turn destroy the bubbles that were now a safe haven for some of their kind. These bubbles might be the only way to preseve their kind, and keep what they most feared from coming to pass. They made it clear they would do everything within their powers to help defend these demons against those whom wish to bring them to an end.

They were dubbed fools by those who wished for the demons' end because they believed that these new spirit meant the end of the world, but these demon's were clever beings whom made the bulk of the world forget or simply ignore their existence. They kept to the shadows and observed the world, and in the process they decided that they had been created to rewrite the world. They were given abilities to help them with this task, but they could not agree on how it should be done. This might have been the only thing that so far prevented them from completely what they believed they were created to do. Some believed they all have to agree on how it should be done while others believed it could be done with only one if they were powerful or determined enough. Whatever the truth over the course of time many attempted to rewrite the world, but so far each of them failed.

While all this was happening outside the bubbles those within were celebrating the fact that the bubbles were everything they had hoped for. By some miracle all those whom had been trapped inside the bubbles were spirits who had been influenced very little by the existence of man. More than that these bubbles protected them from any further influnce. It was within one of these bubbles that Leevi came to be. Like many whom only knew life within his bubble he was raised on stories of how things were like outside the bubbles and how it was very likely that those of their kind on the other side were likely no more. They might have drilled it within their head not to leave the confines of the bubbles if it wasn't for the fact that the magic of the bubbles kept them in as much as it kept others out. For the most part the spirits were content to leave the bubbles alone and none on either side ventured close enough to the edge to influence the bubble even if they wished.

Man, on the other hand, were highly curious and if they discovered a bubble they would revisit it time and time again in an attempt to better understand it. This was a curiousity that Leevi shared. Many claimed that while the bubbles prevented man from influencing them more that their impact could steal be felt, and it will be countless years before they would ever be free of it--if they could ever be truely free. Their contact with man might have changed them as a people forever. They tried to sated Leevi curiousity to the best of their ability by directing it elsewhere. Try as they might they couldn't keep him from returning to the edge. It wasn't just trying to understand the mechanics of the bubbles that brought kept bring him back, but curiousity what might lay on the outside. He wandered what the world might be like outside the bubble and he came to the edge to try to see if he might see some of these changes because he had discovered that the bubble did not isolate them as much as his people might have hoped. One could hear and see what is happening on the opposite side if they stood close enough.
